Slow computer, email that stopped working, a printer that won’t print, WiFi that dies in the back bedroom. I fix it, tell you what was wrong, and don’t sell you things you don’t need.
Common home jobs
- Slow or infected computers. Clean-up, malware removal, startup clutter, failing drives found before they take your photos with them.
- Email and accounts. Outlook, Gmail and Microsoft accounts that won’t sign in, sync or send.
- Printers. Getting a printer back on the WiFi and printing from every computer and phone in the house.
- WiFi that reaches. Mesh systems and access points so the signal covers the whole house, the garage and the shop. For outbuildings too far for WiFi, a point-to-point link does the job.
- Starlink. Installs and getting it working with the rest of your home network.
- New computer setup. Moving files, email and printers over from the old one.
Remote or on-site?
Most software problems can be fixed remotely, which is cheaper and usually faster: $80/hr. You’ll see everything I do on your screen as I do it, and you can end the session at any time. More on remote support.
When it’s hardware, WiFi coverage or cabling, I come out: $99/hr on-site across Wicomico, Worcester and Somerset counties and most of Sussex County, DE.
How billing works. On-site and install work has a 1-hour minimum, then bills in 15-minute increments.
Remote sessions have no 1-hour minimum. They bill in 15- or 30-minute increments, depending on the job. If it turns out to be a five-minute fix, I'll be reasonable about it.
