IT support in Ocean City
Ocean City businesses make most of their year in a few busy months. The registers, the WiFi and the cameras have to hold up when the crowds arrive, and when they don’t, you need someone local who can get there.
What shore businesses need
A front counter that stays up. POS stations, receipt and kitchen printers and card readers, and the network they run on. A lot of “the printer’s down” calls are really network problems, and fixing them properly means cabling and switching, not rebooting again.
Guest WiFi that’s kept apart. Restaurants, rentals and shops all get asked for the WiFi password. Guest WiFi should give customers internet and nothing else: no view of the registers, the cameras or the office computer.
Cameras you can check from home. Camera systems covering doors, registers and lots, viewable from your phone, and kept on their own network segment.
Email and accounts for seasonal staff. Setting up Microsoft 365 accounts for summer hires and switching them off cleanly when the season ends.

The quiet months are the time to replace the switch that keeps dropping, run the cable to the second register, label the closet and get the cameras right. Booking that work between October and April means you’re not finding problems on a holiday weekend.

Add my computersOn-site and install work has a 1-hour minimum, then bills in 15-minute increments. Remote sessions have no 1-hour minimum. They bill in 15- or 30-minute increments, depending on the job. If it turns out to be a five-minute fix, I'll be reasonable about it.
