Structured cabling & network installs

Cat6 runs, terminations, patch panels, racks, switching and firewalls, installed neatly and documented so the next person (or me, two years from now) knows exactly what’s where.

Network rack, 24-port Cat6 patch panel and PDU — a business install in Salisbury, MD.

What’s included

  • Cable runs. Cat6 to desks, access points, cameras, printers and POS stations, terminated and tested.
  • Patch panels and racks. Wall-mount or floor racks, patch panels, cable management and a PDU, on a backboard where it makes sense.
  • Switching and firewalls. Business-grade switches and a firewall configured with separate networks for staff, guests, cameras and point-of-sale.
  • Labels and documentation. Every port labeled at both ends, and a simple map of which jack goes where, handed to you at the end.
  • Clean-up of existing closets. Tracing unlabeled cables, removing dead runs and re-patching so the closet makes sense again.

Why it’s worth doing properly

Cabling is the part of a network you see least and touch least, and it’s the hardest to fix later. A closet nobody can trace turns every future problem into guesswork. Done once, labeled and documented, it stays out of your way for years.
